How a small decision can turn your life around

How to know which path to take can be a daunting task. Don't let fear hold you back, take hold of your steering wheel and go where you want to go.

The Trigger

The last few months have been a time of uncertainty and change.

For some, this change has been positive...not having to commute for 3 hours a day on a train with not enough seats for everyone, spending more time at home with loved ones, being home to put the kids to bed, improved fitness, and more time to do the things you love.

For others, it has been a complete nightmare...being stuck in a small space, not having the resources needed to work effectively, lack of child-care support, home-schooling, job loss, anxiety, and financial concerns.

Whatever your situation, the need to adapt has been fundamental. It may not seem like it at times and some days are certainly harder than others, but you are doing it. You are adapting, you are making decisions each day, and you are living a life that may be completely different to before.

With change lies opportunity.

The Way Forward

Whether you feel stuck and as if things are completely out of your control, or if you feel like you have been given the opportunity to finally do something that you have been putting off for a long time...now is the time to embrace the moment and move forward in a way that best suits the new you.

What is important to you?

What would you do if you knew you couldn't fail?

What would motivate you to get out of bed each day with a spring in your step?

What can you say yes (or no!) to, to get you closer to where you want to be?

What is holding you back?

What support do you need to get there?

There are many paths that you can choose to take, and it is up to you to decide the right one for you. You may have a particular goal and a plan of how to get there, or you may be happy to take things day by day and see where you end up. You may venture on many different paths in your life before you find the one that is right for you, or you may enjoy the journey so much that you never settle for just one path.

There is just one thing to remember...do not let fear of the unknown hold you back.

Make a decision based on what matters most to you at that time...and go with it. If it doesn't work out, its a lesson learned. And if it does, whats not to love about being where you want to be?!
